Map of Avebury

Map of Avebury

Sep 23, 2011 about art, natural world, stone hugging 3 1573 Views

I’m delighted to announce the publication – at long last – of my newest hand-drawn map; of the unique and ancient village of Avebury in Wiltshire.

It shows all the features you’d expect – the henge, stones, shops, houses, pubs and roads¬† – and some you wouldn’t expect! But my maps are more than just maps, they my love letter to the place shown, and so it is with Avebury.¬† Expect information, people, animals, quirkiness and expect to smile.

To those of you who have been watching its progress, I’m sorry it’s taken so long (I began mapping in April!) but it’s been a difficult summer and doing this map has kept me sane. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have drawing it.

Copies of the map are for sale right here. Each map is printed on a sheet of A2 (420 x 594 mm / 16.5 x 23.4 inches) and you can get them in two ways:

1. folded in a full colour cover (pictured right)
2. flat printed on high quality silk paper and signed by the artist, suitable for framing
