Map of Avebury

Posted on | September 23, 2011 | 2 Comments

I’m delighted to announce the publication – at long last – of my newest hand-drawn map; of the unique and ancient village of Avebury in Wiltshire. Click on the image to enlarge it.

It shows all the features you’d expect – the henge, stones, shops, houses, pubs and roads  – and some you wouldn’t expect! But my maps are more than just maps, they my love letter to the place shown, and so it is with Avebury.  Expect information, people, animals, quirkiness and expect to smile.

To those of you who have been watching its progress, I’m sorry it’s taken so long (I began mapping in April!) but it’s been a difficult summer and doing this map has kept me sane. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have drawing it.

How to buy a map

Copies of the map are for sale, so email me with details of what you want. Each map is printed on a sheet of A2 (420 x 594 mm / 16.5 x 23.4 inches) and you can get them in two ways:

  • folded in a full colour cover (pictured right) for £4.99 each + £1.49 P&P (total £6.48) or
  • flat printed on high quality silk paper and signed by the artist, suitable for framing for £12.99 each + £3.50 P&P (total £16.49)

Personalise it! Buyers of flat maps may request up to three of their favourite features to be tinted in watercolour at no extra charge.

Stocks are very limited, so don’t miss out – grab yours today. Payment can be by cheque, PayPal or bank transfer. Email me for details of how to pay by bank transfer. Maps will be posted when funds have cleared.
